近年来城市倾斜摄影模型已广泛应用于城市规划等领域,但因数据量巨大易造成模型应用困难,且现有简化方法面对具体应用需求尚不能针对不同地物灵活调整简化比例。该文提出顾及地物类型重要度的城市倾斜摄影模型网格简化算法,并以一个重点关注建筑物对象的城市场景为例,基于具有语义信息的城市倾斜摄影数据集,对该算法与Quadric Error Metrics(QEM)算法、结构感知网格简化算法(SAMD)、鲁棒的通用三维模型低多边形网格生成方法(RoloPM)开展对比实验。结果表明,当整体简化比例相同(70%和85%)时,该算法对重点地物的简化结果在视觉效果、几何相似性以及简化效率方面均优于对比算法,可以满足实际应用中灵活简化大场景城市倾斜摄影模型的需求。
Abstract:The existing urban oblique photography models cannot flexibly adjust the simplification ratio according to the specific simplification requirements of terrain objects with different importance.Therefore, designing an effective lightweight algorithm for the models has become a critical issue.This paper proposed a mesh simplification algorithm for urban oblique photography models considering the importance of terrain object types.Taking an urban scene focusing on buildings as an example, based on the urban oblique photography dataset with semantic information, the proposed algorithm was compared with the quadric error metrics(QEM) algorithm, the structure-aware mesh decimation(SAMD) algorithm, and the robust low-poly meshing for general 3D models(RoloPM).The results show that when the overall simplification ratio is the same(70% and 85%),the proposed algorithm outperforms the others in terms of visual quality, geometric similarity, and simplification efficiency for key features, which can meet the needs of flexible simplification of large-scene urban oblique photography models in practical applications.
